It already exists. Just not quite where/how you wold think of it.

Pick a book that does not use the offending tags
Click the Edit meta data button

See the line Tags? Click the button on the right (Open Tag editor)
Now you see a list of tage.
Highlight the ones you want to DELETE.
See that button on the LEFT
Click it..
You will get a message (you can save to clipboard) of the titles affected)
Done
