Talking about reading on a device at night, I tried it on my 5" smartphone and turned off the light. I set the background to black and the letters to white, within 5 minutes, my eyes already sore. I set the brightness to auto though.
I was thinking, maybe I made a mistake by switching the light off or maybe blaming the screen too small and also because it is a back-lit screen. Again thinking, what if I get a 10.1" tablet, that will be even worse.
