A cracked screen I could understand (they're really fragile and thus it just happens), and there is little other reason why a screen would stop working.

The repair cost on the other hand is a bad joke. As is $120 for a technician to determine the screen is cracked, because that takes like 5 minutes since all you have to do is open the device and look at the screen from the back - and that only if it doesn't show a distinctive error pattern from the front anyway.
