Yes, Connect Reader is based on Fsk (basically a custom ECMAScript implementation with easy XML processing). Actually, the core API is the same on both platforms - if you compare FskCore.xsb on the PC and the device, they're byte-identical. The engine seems pretty portable, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have a working OS X version in their lab, it's just probably too buggy for an official release...
