I'm just now experimenting with Calibre to fetch news and have a question.

Besides sorting by AUTHOR and picking out all the ones listed as CALIBRE as the author is there a way to have a separate category for NEWS and BOOKS?

What does the large rectangle of white space represent under the toolbar icons, I see a short space that says LIBRARY XXX BOOKS, that links to something - my cursor turns into a hand when over it. What is the rest of the space held for? What exactly does the link on the LIBRARY side link to?
