I initially bought the Sony reader before moving on to the Iliad reader. In general I found that reading PDFs in landscape mode with the larger text size was acceptable without any reformatting. There were however some documents (mainly my photography books) which were simply unreadable. I did play around with reformatting PDFs, however without a great deal of success.
