Thanks so much! I'd already placed the linkss and python installers for the screensaver hack into the mrpackages folder on my Kindle. So when I did the ";log mrpi" command, they installed. After that I figured I'd just do the same with the KUAL installer, and it worked. (I had trouble finding the log file to read, but since everything worked that doesn't matter anymore.)

What's the best way to prevent any further updates going forward? I've seen stuff about a backdoor hack or just creating a special update folder...do I do one/the other, or both? Or is there a better way for recent firmware versions?
