Almost.
I am here, with a heavy heart, to confirm your suspicion. I had a working jailbroken PW3 that inadvertently got upgraded from 5.8.7 to 5.8.9, and CM has stopped working since. Now I get a popup saying: Unsupported Firmware - Your Kindle is running firmware 5.8.9, which is not supported by this version of Collections Manager.

So some glue code needs to be written to, for instance, call the method whose name was Icx last time by whatever its name is today.
And then recompiled (same libraries, different names).

A real maintenance headache.
I've looked for ways to downgrade the firmware, but haven't found anything after several hours of searching. I understand from the main jailbreaking thread that the JB status on my Kindle probably survived the firmware upgrade to 5.8.9. Does this mean I still have hopes for a working CM somewhere down the road?
