I have to admit that I kind of got used to the cold feel of the aluminum body. I found it a bit awkward at first to read in bed like I normally do (holding the device with both hands) but I’ve gotten around to it. For me, it's no problem using my free hand to balance the narrow side a little bit from time to time and according to feeling. I think I like it now, but will keep on observing my behaviour and update you on that
Generally:
Would I prefer a 7 inch Kindle with symmetrical design and rubberised back? Definitely!
Would I want to give up the larger screen? Nah!
