I'm perfectly fine with the realization that online bookstores aren't the best place to discover new books/authors. Have been for a long time. Just like how browsing Netflix/Hulu, etc... isn't the most efficient way to find shows/movies you might like from their catalog. Browsing online bookstores and streaming services is like the digital equivalent of random channel-flipping. You might get lucky every now and again.
