Actually your father with bad eye sight might be better suited for the LCD screen. It'll be a bit brighter if need be, larger Font size and the text is very very crisp, since it is color you'll have a true contrast ratio, and it'll be better than anything eink can offer at this stage.

He might enjoy that better.
