Written and illustrated by Wilhelm Busch (1832–1908)
Plish and Plum (English)
Translation by Charles T. Brooks (1813–1883)
Another rhyming book from the twisty humor of Wilhelm Busch, author of Max und Moritz. Two naughty little dogs meet two naughty little boys, and, well — it’s love at first sight! Chaos and mayhem and hilarity ensue, but all will come well in the end.

===========
Heinrich Christian Wilhelm Busch (15 April 1832 – 9 January 1908) was a German humorist, poet, illustrator, and painter. He published comic illustrated cautionary tales from 1859, achieving his most notable works in the 1870s. He is perhaps best remembered for
Max und Moritz (1865). That book details seven pranks by two very naughty boys, who have become iconic characters in German-speaking countries, and who were the inspiration for the long-running American comic strip The Katzenjammer Kids.

Strangely, I had difficulty locating a complete transcription of the German text, and finally found this from zeno.org. I welcome any feedback.
Enjoy the read, and reflect on your own naughty episodes!
