I use a text editor, (Ultraedit), to compose text.
About the only styling I might need is italics. Ultraedit has "tag" buttons to add the <i>text</i> or whatever other html you want.
When I'm done I run a macro to convert linebreaks to <p> </p>,
then copy it all and paste into Sigil's CODE view.
Tweak the styles from there in Sigil.
