Post Dumas, Alexandre: The Son of Monte-Cristo. v1. 1 Aug 07

"The Count of Monte-Cristo" has been my favourite book for as long as I can remember. Following Dumas' death, a number of unofficial sequels to it were written, often in Dumas' name, to increase sales.

This is probably the best of them - and the best known. PG incorrectly attributes this book to Dumas himself (as does "Amazon"); it was in fact written by Jules Hippolyte Lermina. I have followed PG's lead in listing the author as "Dumas".

Enjoy!
