Freeman, R. Austin: The Penrose Mystery. v1. 6 Jan 2020

R. Austin Freeman (1862-1943) was a medical practitioner forced to retire in 1904 because of ill health. He wrote many detective novels and short stories, some with other authors.

The Penrose Mystery was published in 1936, and is a convoluted detective story about a very strange man, how he died, and how his murderer was detected.
