Great scoop. It will be a fine implementation for Kobo's Reading Life and Pulse (see blog.kobobooks.com), which also dovetails nicely with the Facebook f8 Conference announcement last week. Kobo clearly continues to attract investment capital; these moves are strategic and require some cash. The German retail stores open on Saturday and three other European stores are slated for 2011.

$250 is an attractive price point -- and remember, this is for Canada where Amazon's Kindle Fire will not be sold.
