I've been looking for a ePaper device for note taking because I like the screen technology better than a tablet and will have a much better battery life, as well as the finish I'm used to on a Kindle screen, before remembering I have a Paperwhite in the basement collecting dust. I remembered the active content stuff on an older Kindle of mine and was looking into developing something for my Paperwhite, before learning that the KDK is no longer supported and it seems the Paperwhite 3 never supported active content anyways.

Long story short, is there a homebrew app for the Paperwhite 3 out there for note taking? I know I'll likely have to jailbreak the Kindle and I have no problem with that, but I'm new to this specific scene to know where to even start looking.
