in the .json file for both leafpad and kterm, i had added the "exitmenu": false clause.. leafpad is able to resume but not kterm..
tried removing the "exitmenu": false clause from kterm's .json.. now it's able to resume..
so...  |
run 'top' (or 'htop' or your favorite process list utility) to see if any combination is leaving behind zombies.
