CBZ files can be used with our iRex DR800/1000[s], although
with some minor plugin interaction problems.
CBR are just RAR archives with a different filename extension, though, so you shouldn't have many problems converting them to CBZ (basically uncompress the CBRs with UnRar or the like, repack the files with some ZIP archivers, rename the new archive to .CBZ).
