My problem was the same, when I got my story. Unfortunately, I am sorry to tell you this, you have no other option then to return it. There is no hard reset option for Iriver, like Kindle or Sony has. I know it is frustrating, because I had waited 4 weeks for my first story, then in the same day I had to return it and wait another 3 weeks for an other reader.
