Not only that, but the old plugin still worked, as long as you didn't need to add any new keys. (Or knew how to add the keys manually using a JSON editor.

The plugin wasn't "disabled", it simply displayed an error message when trying to open the configuration dialog using the (nonexistent) Qt4 modules.
