When dining out, the choice is always fries -- no salt and cooked extra crispy (usually means cooking them twice). I've always found restaurant onion rings to be excessively greasy for some reason.

But at home, I prefer to make onion rings with my chicken wings or burger. I buy the Alexia Onion Rings at the grocery and bake them. They are essentially "greaseless" and thus enjoyable. (I've found that as I've gotten older, I can tolerate less greasiness in my food. Age is destroying my ability to eat unhealthily as a matter of choice. )
