I'm sorry that no one was able to come up with a solution for you. The only thread that I know of was the one that you already found. I don't think I have ever seen the problem you have mentioned.

Have you tried checking on the Sony support forums or even calling tech support?

I hope you can get it resolved, as I think that the Sony 505 is fantastic.

I just did a google search with error copying lipfskLoad to /tmp/ and sites came up with this same problem.(need to use translate)
