Post Hancock, H. Irving: Young Engineers Omnibus. v4. 4th Aug 2011

An omnibus edition of the juvenile series "The Young Engineers" (originally published between 1912 and 1920), following the adventures of two young men, Harry Hazeltine and Tom Reade, working as civil engineers on railways, in mines, and other such exciting places. This five-book series directly follows on from the "High School Boys" and "High School Boys Vacation" series posted previously, and is a "parallel" series to the "Dick Prescott at West Point" and "Dave Darrin at Annapolis" omnibuses. Please refer to the description of the "High School Boys" series for more information about the series and the author.

The books in the omnibus are:

Book 1: "The Young Engineers in Colorado" or "At Railroad Building in Earnest"

Book 2: "The Young Engineers in Arizona" or "Laying Tracks on the Man-killer Quicksand"

Book 3: "The Young Engineers in Nevada" or "Seeking Fortune on the Turn of a Pick"

Book 4: "The Young Engineers in Mexico" or "Fighting the Mine Swindlers"

Book 5: "The Young Engineers on the Gulf" or "The Dread Mystery of the Million Dollar Breakwater"

Note that the final book in the series refers to a subsequent volume called "The Young Engineers in Lead". This is a "phantom title" - ie one which was never written - a thing very commonly encountered in these juvenile series books).

Enjoy!
