I am with you completely on the "DRM is evil" and this goes for all types not just ebooks. It doesn't actually stop pirating (nor even slows it down). All it does is raise cost on both ends. And adds frustration to honest paying customers who just want to buy and enjoy it. DRM is truly a no win situation. How the majority of these decision makers don't see this I truly have no idea.
