If 10 stars is to onerous, then make it five. I picked ten because I like more granularity. Ideally I would like a decimal value if the range is relatively small.
For me, if a book is between a four and a five, I'm going to rate it as 4. IMO, 5 is for the perfect book, I don't want to round up to five.
