Pugh, H. Lamont: Navy Surgeon, v1, 09 March 2009
The autobiography of H. Lamont Pugh from rural Virginia who rose to be Navy Surgeon General in the early 50s. He served in the Marines in World War I as a young man, went to college on a scholarship contingent on him serving in the Navy and made it his life's career.
He was born in 1895 and no records show a date of death for him, although we was medically retired from the Navy in the early 60s due to heart trouble. This book did not have its copyright renewed so it is out of copyright in the U. S. It is probably in copyright elsewhere.
