That makes sense. It actually happens at
-gtr 0.06 (
-gtr 0.05 is okay). At that point, you are allowing enough black on the line scans that the chapter number essentially becomes invisible to k2pdfopt when it is scanning for rows of text, so it gets ignored. This is part of the trade when selecting the
-gtr value.
