I don't use my checkbooks (3) often, either. I pay my house payment and the utilities by check (just to make them work for the payment). I have to keep the checkbook in my purse just to show students as many have no idea what a check or checkbook is when they come across it in their reading.
When I show them and explain how it works, many tell me THEIR parents use the "money" card as it always has money in it.
