I think there's quite a few books in the MR library that are under 50 years old as some authors have donated works to the public domain. I'm thinking of authors like Peter Watts, Cory Doctorow and Charles Stross, all of which have books in the MR library.

Not that those authors wouldn't be worthy of discussion, but I don't think it was the intent of the nomination to include those works.
