More competition is never a bad thing but one wonders given Samsung's partnering with Apple if there is not some sort of non-competition agreement in there somewhere which keeps prices higher than a normal Samsung device might be. Right now a person can buy a Samsung 32"-42" flat screen for less than a Galaxy Tab. Think about that for a minute.

Samsung knows that it can flood the market with cheap devices but they are keeping the prices high as they wont be able to meet the demand at low prices
better to sell lesser devices at bigger margins plus all their excess production capacity is being used by apple and others so it is still making money on them.
