Mrs Gaskell’s first novel deals with love, redemption, poverty and industrial unrest in a class-divided Manchester. She even adds a murder to the plot.
The source was PG. I have restored the italics, added curly quotes and checked against my paper copy. I also moved the footnotes to the end of the book and numbered them, and included a TOC.
