Don't forget all the Public Domain books out there either.
Project Gutenberg is great, but I prefer to get them from manybooks.net.
(Has most of PG's list, more formats, easier to search)
The Baen stuff is awesome, been doing the CD's from there, gave me about a full years reading from authors that are right up my alley. Drake, Weber, Ringo, etc.
