To anyone purchasing a new (e-ink) Kindle:

If it arrives from your vendor already running firmware version 5.8.8 please post a comment about it in the Developer's forum.

We would really like to known when stores and Amazon warehouse(s) start running out of Kindles running any of the previous firmware versions.
