It is possible to use more than one firmware but the poll doesn't permit voting for multiple firmware.
For example, although I voted for OpenInkPot 0.1, on my device I have V1.26U.080603 (lunohod's mod with FBreader), but I also use OI 0.1 on the SD card and switch between the two.
