Yes, you can customise your metadata page. I think you may need to close Calibre completely before you do this.

You need to go to your Calibre program directory and find the subdir resources.
(On my Windows XP machine it is C:\Program Files\Calibre\resources)
Inside there is a subdir called jacket (contains 2 files).

Copy the jacket subdir to your Calibre config directory.

Once it's there you can edit the file jacket/stylesheet.css in a text editor. Towards the end of the css file you will see the following:

table.cbj_header tr.cbj_tags {
	/* Uncomment the next line to remove 'Tags' from banner section */
	/* display:none; */
	}
Remove the red /* and */ and save.

Once you open Calibre again it should use your newly customised jacket rather than the standard one.
