You need to uninstall the app:
- open Applications
- open Menu
- if you're in List view, click Grid view, open Menu, click Edit
- if you're in Grid view, click Edit
- now look for the app you want to uninstall and click it
- a window opens: Delete - This application will be deleted - OK / Cancel
- click OK
- open Menu
- click Save
The app is now permanently off your Galaxy, but still available in the cloud.
