It hurts me to think that, at some point in the future, these books will be in a format we no longer read.
I want to savor this story -- which bears the Patricia's hand as well as Gilman's -- for as long as I can, and honor the care and craft of this person with whom I never had the privilege of corresponding or interacting.
May her work remain alive, as this work does. May her intelligence guide the casual reader with the divining rod of her rare taste and discerning intelligence.
