There are a number of Arthur B Reeve books already in the Library, so here's another.
A movie is in production: it's a silent film of course, since the book was published in 1921 and sound didn't arrive until several years later. There is murder on the set, by a rare (but genuine!) poison administered while a scene is being filmed.
The case is baffling. Nothing shows on the screen, and the poison used is extremely difficult to detect. Enter Craig Kennedy, the scientific detective.
(The cover is my own, using free clipart and near-100-year-old magazine covers at very low resolution).
