I might be wrong, but I see the market for standalones shrinking.
Like the smartphone drove out the photocamera, it will also make the ereader obsolete.
The biggest issue with T1/T2/T3 (I have them all) is the lack of backlight for lowlight conditions.
So, get adapted to tablets. Ereaders will disappear.
