Same thing happened to mine last week. I took in in today and got a new one from Borders since I had purchased the replacement plan. It is charging as I type this.

I had not damaged my unit in anyway. Incidentally the battery would not stay charged and even if I turned it completely off then turned it on again in two days I would have to recharge and reset the unit.

I think I had a lemon. Am hoping this time I have a peach!
