@mariosipad: thanks for the two files. After comparing them the only difference is found in the size of the cover.png. This went from 578Kb to 157Kb. No other file changed in size. Both can be opened and show the same image. The smaller file, cover.png is almost equel to the cover.jpg file in the calibre directory.
