I think sometimes you have to push through. Act "as if," as Dr. Melfi told Tony Soprano. Set yourself short goals, even 10 pages. Then 10 pages of a different book. So long as a book seems good, don't abandon it, but read enough of it most days (those 10 pages) to keep it current. Jettison anything that really doesn't work.
