First off, this is above and beyond. Thanks so much for the hard-work and the amazingly detailed description of the inner workings. It's helpful to a student like me. Real fellowship.
Whoa. Super-cool. Installation seemed to go fine, but execution is off.
I've gotten the exact same error on two PDFs:
usage: mktemp [-d] [-q] [-t prefix] [-u] template ...
