No you have a UK 505 and that is the last firmware.
The reader is seeing those PDF's as image PDF's (not text ones), and thus when you zoom it does not reflow the text (because it can not or because it thinks it's an image and not text).
You can increase the reading of those PDF's by trying to read them in landscape: press the zoom button and maintain the finger there until it turns the screen into landscape.
It splits the page in 2 half’s so making the "image" more readable (bigger letters).
