No idea about how large the iphones are, I've only had Lumias. But I prefer a 4:3 or 16:10 resolution. And phones are a 16:9 (or even worse 18.5:9) resolution these day.
And it doesn't need to compete with a 6" reader, I'd be happy with a 5" one. The e-ink screen on the Yotaphone 2 is a 4.7" screen, but because of the different resolution, I find it too small (rather: too narrow).
