I think Harry was being a bit harsh, but if you've read this thread - along with a number of others - then you might understand him reacting this way. It seems no matter how many times the moderators and other members of this site explain that we do not condone the use of this site for piracy and politely ask people not to ask for it, people still request this material.

This site only hosts books that are available in the public-domain, and presented to you in a way as to provide the best reading experience we can.

The members of this site pride themselves on transforming a bog-standard text available from sites like Gutenberg, into something that you will want to read over and over again.

This takes time and dedication, and sometimes this can cause us to react a bit too strongly to certain comments.

Please feel free to continue to use this site, but please, try and do a bit of research about what you are asking for before posting a comment like that requesting books from an author. If they are not dead, then they are most likely not going to allow their books to be hosted here. Some authors - like Cory Doctorow - do advocate the use of sites like this one for their books, but they are in the minority.
