Best eReader for reading scanned PDFs and note-taking?
In college I read a lot of not so well scanned PDFs, so I figure a >9 inch reader might be necessary.
I was thinking about the boyue likebook note, but I read somewhere that the note-taking isn't good at all, at least compared to other readers like the onyx boox note or the sony. Annotating PDFs and taking notes are two of the main reasons I'm thinking of getting a larger screen, otherwise I could just use a 7.8 reader in portrait mode.
I know I could just use a tablet instead, but I read papers all day long. Being able to use e-ink would make it a lot less tiring to my eyes. I'm also on a bit of a budget, and I would prefer to pay less than 500 dollars, but if no device under that price range is good enough for what I want (which is honestly, fairly simple) then I could pay more.
Hardware wise, I don't care if it can browse the web well or not, or if it has speakers or headphone jacks. Frontlight isn't necessary either. SD-card would be nice though. I need the specs to be good enough to read PDFs and highlight/take notes, but I don't care if it can run facebook lite or not.
