Alexander MacLaren (1826-1910) was a Baptist preacher in England.
Alexander MacLaren is ranked among the expert expositors of the nineteenth century. His writings and reputation were world renown, and his skill with the English language and ability to handle the biblical languages has inspired students of Holy Scripture for decades. Even to this day, MacLaren is considered to be a prime exemplar of expository preaching.
The sermons included in the Expositions of Holy Scripture cover sixty-four of the sixty-six books included in the Protestant canon of Scripture. They are arranged in canonical order making this collection an expository commentary on most of the Bible.
