No it doesn't it ALSO supports Adobe's drm as well as their own, which by the way is being adopted by Adobe too. So in the future other devices will be compatable with B&N's drm. But you can buy any epub that has ADE drm and use it on the Nook. What you can't do is buy an epub from B&N like you did and use it on other devices, at least not currently, not until Adobe updates their version of ADE.
